After The Storm and the Story behind it
This day for me was so eventful it sounds made up. Naturally it was lashing, after University I went to the train station to grab a train going to Dublin, the ticket machine being broken and my timing meant I literally just about made it. The train was late so by the time I actually made it to Dublin, I had 10 mins to grab a taxi, run out the train, grab a taxi, I’m in the taxi for 1 minute and the driver tells me that he doesn’t accept card but says there’s an ATM on the way, I reluctantly accept. We stop, I get back to the car, see a pregnant lady with a stroller and asks if she can also take a ride, driver asks me if I’m cool with that I reluctantly say yes again, takes more of the time I did not posses, we miraculously make it 1 before Leila was up. At this point I already informed Leila I’ll be late, I get to the bar relieved, start looking for my friend, 5 minutes pass and I realise that I made it to the wrong bar. Thankfully the right bar was literally beside the one I was in so I was only a few minutes late and Leila didn’t even start playing so no disasters. Only felt right that I’d name this shoot “After The Storm”

Bedhead
Changed Plans and story behind it.
I heard about this gig from my good friend and promoter Yazan, I asked if he needed a photographer and he said he already had one hired, thought nothing of it, fast forward a day before the gig, I had planned a date in Dublin the next day. I get a message from Yazan at 10pm asking if I’m still interested in shooting that gig, his photographer cancelled, I think about it for a second and say why not, message my date about it, asked her if she’s interested in changing plans and instead coming to the Soundhouse. She agreed and the rest was history.

Fairly cute
All or nothing and the story behind it.
This was my first full sets gig, at this point I shot a few times for specific bands but I was never trusted with a full gig until this day. I was confirmed for it about 2 weeks before it so I had time to prepare, I invited my friends out to it as it was a big moment for me as I knew very well this was sink or float for me gig photography wise, if I messed this gig up I wouldn’t be trusted with a whole show for some time. I also understood the risk the promoter took with me so pressure was undeniable, I floated.
